Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transit Design Manager (BRT) to lead the design and delivery of Bus Rapid Transit projects from our East Region offices. This hands-on role manages multidisciplinary teams and collaborates across planning, design, and BD to ensure successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, strong leadership skills, and extensive experience in BRT/LRT design. Hybrid work arrangement is available, with in-office days 2-3 times per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Professional Engineering license required
• Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation/Power InRoads/Power GeoPak/OpenRoads Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead planning studies, preliminary design studies and final design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects and coordinate with team members and business development.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and visual aids for BRT infrastructure.
• Develop construction cost estimates and project budgets; review design deliverables for quality.
• Ensure work is performed within budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
