Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transit Design Manager (BRT) to lead design teams across planning through final design for Bus Rapid Transit projects. The role is based on the East Coast with a Hybrid work model (2–3 days in the office) and offers opportunities to drive multi-disciplinary collaboration and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 8 years of experience or equivalent
• Professional Engineering license required
• Roadway and transit design experience essential
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Serve as team lead, project manager, or discipline lead on planning, preliminary, and final design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and support business development
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids for BRT infrastructure
• Prepare/review multimodal street designs and interdisciplinary deliverables
• Develop construction cost estimates and engineering budgets/schedules
• Prepare technical specification sections and perform quality control reviews
• Mentor entry-level engineers and manage tasks to meet budget and schedule
• Work with the team to complete primary design elements for engineering works
