Job summary

Horrocks in the Mountain West region seeks a Design-Build Drainage Lead/Manager for our Innovative Pursuits Team to drive the growth of a leading design-build group. You will lead drainage design efforts on transportation projects and coordinate with other discipline leads to deliver value-added designs.

The role requires a PE license and 10+ years in drainage for infrastructure, with DOT DB/PDB experience; strong leadership and client communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current PE license; preferred states UT, NV, AZ, ID, CO, NM, WA.
• Over 10 years of leading drainage design for infrastructure projects.
• At least 3 years of DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Ability to lead a team and maintain positive client relationships.
• Strong communication skills at all levels; client-facing experience.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage discipline engineering teams for transportation DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects.
• Coordinate with other discipline leads.
• Integral member of the project delivery team.
• Lead drainage/hydraulic design, analyses, studies, reports, plans, specs, and quantity tasks.
• Knowledge of Microstation, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Lead in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients.
• Be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, staff and management.
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines.
• Grow personally and professionally with each project.
