Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Senior Manager, Transportation to lead cross-border inbound/outbound freight and manage carrier partnerships and customs-related processes. You will educate internal teams on USMCA, IOSS, and destination-country requirements to ensure on-time deliveries.

You will oversee carrier performance, onboarding of new lanes, and develop SOPs while collaborating with internal stakeholders across regions. A mix of remote work and travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in ecommerce and shipping
• 2+ years of cross-border shipments experience
• Strong communication and stakeholder guiding skills
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
• Knowledge of cross-border entry requirements is a must
• Experience with carrier portfolio management and onboarding

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage carrier performance tracking and improvement initiatives
• Onboard new carriers and lanes including SOP development and rate negotiation
• Identify gaps in carrier networks and evaluate prospective carriers
• Create processes to ensure continuous package flow through carriers
• Be subject-matter expert for cross-border compliance and regulations
• Own pick-up/drop-off master schedules with carriers
• Develop transportation and warehouse SOPs as needed
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to scale cross-border capabilities
• Support SFN Partner Development in facility requirements for expansion
• Guide stakeholders to support the business
