Job summary

BKF is seeking an experienced construction management professional to act as the Owner's representative on bridge, roadway, and general civil construction projects in California. The role focuses on ensuring projects conform to contract documents, QA/QC, and efficient coordination across teams.

The candidate should have a BS in Civil Engineering and a CA Professional Engineer license, 7+ years in construction contract management, and knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency processes.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering and CA professional engineer license required.
• 7+ years construction contract management experience on roadways/bridges.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency projects and document coordination on federally funded projects desirable.
• Able to effectively manage people and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner's professional representative on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects.
• Ensure projects are built per contract documents and meeting QC/QA standards.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, materials testing, and surveying activities.
• Conduct project meetings and coordinate utilities and inspections.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Supervise staff and ensure project profitability and compliance with H&S requirements.
