Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks an experienced civil construction professional to serve as the Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway, and general civil projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents. The role requires a California-registered Professional Engineer and at least 7 years in roadway/bridge construction, with strong leadership and contract management skills.

Travel to BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 7+ years construction contract management experience on roadway/bridge projects.
• Knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency processes and document coordination on federal projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects.
• Ensure conformance with contract documents and QA/QC processes.
• Manage staff and contract administration; review changes and shop drawings.
• Lead weekly project meetings and coordinate utilities and inspections.
• Prepare project documentation for approvals and invoicing.
• Ensure safety, EEO compliance, and project profitability.
