Job summary

BKF Engineers in California seeks a senior construction project manager to serve as the Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway and civil construction projects. You will supervise staff, manage contract administration, QA/QC, review changes, coordinate with agencies, and ensure compliance with CALTRANS and Federal requirements; a P.E.

license is required, with 7+ years of experience. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• California-registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 7+ years of construction contract management experience on roadway/bridge projects.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS and local agency projects desired.
• Ability to effectively manage people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction project goals with field inspectors and project team members.
• Perform construction engineering duties on roadways and bridges.
• Responsible for project Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
• Manage professional and technical staff and contract administration.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, materials testing, and surveying activities.
• Conduct weekly project meetings and oversee utility coordination.
• Prepare and review project documentation for conformity and quality assurance.
