Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across the operation.

You will interface with employees at all levels and drive change through Lean methods and analytics. You will lead projects, coach teams in CI practices, and deliver measurable process improvements while collaborating with Operations Management and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in Transportation or Supply Chain Industry.
• Transportation Experience Necessary (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Excel/PowerPoint/Access/Visio expertise; data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and SQL knowledge preferred.
• Lean tools and CI methodology experience in a manufacturing/logistics setting.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis to identify process gaps and drive CI initiatives.
• Manages CI and engineering projects; supports go-live and steady-state certifications; assists with automation projects.
• Develops and applies Lean tools and methods across transportation operations to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Facilitates value stream mapping and Kaizen events; coaches teams in lean principles and CI practices.
• Reports progress against site objectives and supports supply chain strategy recommendations.
