Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Engineer to support the Continuous Improvement culture across operations. The role applies CI methods to deliver higher performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost using data analytics, lean tools, and engineering practice.

You will work with employees at all levels, lead or join CI projects, and coach teams in lean principles while driving value for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain Industry experience required.
• Transportation experience necessary (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• MS Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) preferred.
• Core engineering and data analysis functions: slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Manages CI and engineering projects; supports go-live and certifications.
• Develops competency in lean methods; coaches teams on CI principles.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; sustains improvements.
• Maces regular reports to measure progress against site objectives.
