Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering and automation to raise safety, quality, delivery and cost performance across operations. You will work with employees at all levels and report to the Lead Engineer, CI Manager or Sr.

CI Manager, closely aligning with Operations Management. Transportation experience and knowledge (modeling, route optimization, hours of service) is required, as is the ability to develop and maintain Power BI

Qualifications

Transportation experience and knowledge (modeling/route optimization, hours of service) required.
Analytical mindset and experience maintaining Power BI dashboards.
Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
Experience with Appian Direct Route or other transportation modeling software (preferred).

Responsibilities

Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes.
Identifies process gaps and implements continuous improvement plans.
Leads CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Develops competency in engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards; coaches others.
Provides regular reports to measure progress against site objectives and supports supply chain strategy.
