Job summary

Ryder is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI methods across operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements. You will lead cross-functional CI projects, coach teams in lean principles, and deliver measurable value while interfacing with management and customers.

The role emphasizes data analytics, engineering methods, and Kaizen events to achieve sustained performance gains in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• At least 5 years experience in Transportation or Supply Chain.
• Transportation experience necessary (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Microsoft Office Suite with Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio (Expert).
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and SQL/DAX (Intermediate).
• Lean/PDCA/Value Stream Mapping knowledge (Beginner).

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes.
• Manages and completes CI/engineering projects; supports go-live & certifications.
• Develops competency in Lean methods; coaches others.
• Facilitates value stream maps and Kaizen events; sustainment.
• Provides regular reports and makes supply chain strategy recommendations.
