Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Project Manager to lead complex power delivery design projects within our experienced team. You will manage engineering scope, schedules, budgets, and client communications across 34.5kV to 500kV systems, driving successful delivery.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with departments, and drive process improvements while expanding client relationships and growth opportunities in the transmission service group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design.
• Ability to directly lead a team of Engineers & Technicians while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Knowledge of overhead and underground Transmission facilities and their integration.
• Familiarity with industry standards like NESC, ASCE, IEEE.
• Understanding of industry design software and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility engineering design projects, prepare cost estimates and client billing.
• Manage engineering and financial aspects of multiple projects from 34.5kV to 500kV.
• Prepare scope and estimates for proposals and qualifications requests.
• Develop project work plans and budgets to allocate people and resources.
• Review and act on business metrics: backlog, WIP, AR, bookings, revenue.
• Coordinate schedules for concurrent projects and track milestones.
• Provide guidance for professional communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborate on policies and procedures reflecting best engineering practices.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and seek new opportunities.
