Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Transmission Project Manager to lead high‑voltage engineering design projects and coordinate teams across disciplines in Connecticut.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, and client communications to ensure successful on‑time, on‑budget delivery. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in power transmission design and proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and compliance with NESC, ASCE, and IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design.
• Ability to independently direct a team of Engineers & Technicians while ensuring quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.
• Manage engineering and financial aspects of multiple projects 34.5kV to 500kV.
• Prepare scope and estimates for proposals and statements of qualifications.
• Develop project work plans and budgets; track milestones and delivery.
• Review and act upon business metrics including backlog, WIP, A/R, and revenue.
• Coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projects and ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with management to implement new policies reflecting best practices.
• Maintain relationships with clients and seek new opportunities.
