Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join a growing Power Delivery team. You will develop high voltage transmission line designs, lead technical analyses, and coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver complex projects.

Responsibilities include preparing design deliverables, guiding junior staff, and supporting cost estimation and scheduling. A PE license and 4+ years in the field are highly valued, with opportunities across multiple western locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; PE license preferred.
• Experience with high voltage transmission design cod es (NESC/IEEE/ASCE/ACI) is expected.
• 4+ years in transmission line engineering in electric utilities or renewables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and detailed transmission line designs using PLS-CADD and foundation software.
• Coordinate construction release packages, plans/profiles, bills of materials.
• Mentor junior team members and perform QA reviews.
• Contribute to cost estimates and project schedules.
• Attend client meetings and lead design reviews.
