Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our growing Power Delivery team. This role supports design for high voltage transmission lines and requires coordination across stakeholder groups in multiple western locations, including Montana and surrounding areas.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, a bachelor’s in engineering, and 4+ years of transmission line experience with PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and transmission structure analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical designs for transmission lines using PLS-CADD and supporting tools.
• Coordinate construction release packages and bill of materials.
• Guide and review work of junior designers and EITs.
• Lead design reviews and client meetings.
• Develop project manhour estimates and schedules.
• Perform site visits during design, construction, and as-built phases.
