Job summary
WSP USA seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. You will lead high‑voltage overhead transmission projects and guide design delivery while mentoring staff across the Northeast region.
The role offers flexible work arrangements including remote work and office locations such as New York, NY, with travel to client sites as needed. Strong leadership and PLS-CADD expertise are essential.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of post-education experience in electrical transmission.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent).
- PE license required (multi-state preferred).
- Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
- Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
- Proven commitment to health, safety and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver high‑voltage transmission projects up to 765kV.
- Develop initial project execution layouts, schedules, and budgets with PMs.
- Coordinate with clients on project status and meetings.
- Maintain project workflow and inter‑disciplinary communication.
- Travel to client offices/field facilities as needed.
