Job summary
WSP USA is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead high-voltage overhead transmission projects up to 765kV, with flexible work arrangements including remote or an office in the Southeast region. Richmond, VA is a preferred location.
The role provides technical leadership across planning, design and delivery, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and supporting client objectives, with opportunities for career growth within a growing organization.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in electrical transmission design.
- PE license required (multi-state preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
- Strong transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
- Create and maintain a project schedule and lead project meetings.
- Coordinate with clients on project status and deliverables.
- Forecast project requirements for resource planning and staffing.
- Adhere to QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
