Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead high‑voltage overhead projects up to 765kV. You will spearhead technical design, coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. Remote or hybrid work options are available across the Rocky Mountain region.

You will manage project schedules, interact with clients, and mentor staff while driving disciplined engineering practices and growth within the Power Delivery team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in electrical transmission design for capital projects.
• Strong command of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
• Proven ability to lead project teams and coordinate multi-disciplinary work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; experience with client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission lines up to 765kV.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; lead meetings and coordinate with clients and internal teams.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and contribute to staff mentorship and professional development.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, budget, and forecasting; build client relationships.
