Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on high-voltage overhead and underground transmission design. You will apply standards such as NESC, ASCE, and ACI while contributing to bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement.

The role emphasizes independent execution of technical tasks using PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE within a multi-person team, with potential travel to client offices and a hybrid or remote work setup to support projects

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (preferred) with 4+ years in electric utility transmission design.
Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
Strong collaboration and written communication abilities across client teams.
Occasional travel to client offices may be required.

Responsibilities

Execute design tasks for high-voltage transmission lines ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
Prepare and review drawings, specs, and calculations under guidance of Lead Engineers/PMs.
Perform analyses including PLS-CADD modeling and structure loading calculations.
Contribute to continuous improvement through new tools and automation.
Coordinate project progress with the Project Manager to align with schedule and budget.
Maintain proficiency in industry-standard software and Leidos design processes.
