Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team tackling high-voltage transmission projects in a hybrid U.S. setting.

The role focuses on overhead and underground design, applying standards and preparing plans, specs, and material documents. You will perform engineering analyses, support bidding, and use PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE with a strong emphasis on independent execution and collaboration with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil, preferred, or Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE on transmission projects.
• Ability to work in a team environment and also independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-voltage transmission line design tasks in compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations under guidance of Leads or PMs.
• Perform PLS-CADD modeling and structure loading calculations.
• Contribute to process improvements by learning new tools and automation.
