Job summary

The role supports a remote-first arrangement with occasional site visits across Michigan’s Lower Peninsula and adjacent states. Strong collaboration with clients and teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 4+ years of HV transmission design experience.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD, foundations, and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE requirements; material procurement and project schedules.
• Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
• Strong teamwork and client communication; occasional travel possible.

Responsibilities

• Design HV overhead and underground transmission lines from 46kV to 345kV levels for a major utility.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement/construction packages.
• Perform engineering analyses and interface with clients, planning, permitting, and construction management.
• Contribute to multi-person Leidos project teams and ensure compliance with standards.
