Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a Leidos team delivering HV line design projects (46kV-345kV) for a major utility. The role involves applying NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other standards, performing analyses, and preparing bidding documents with a focus on coordination with clients, planning, environmental and construction teams.

100% remote from Michigan with occasional site visits. Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree and 4+ years in transmission design; PE or

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
4+ years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC and ASCE code requirements.
Ability to develop project scopes, budgets and proposals.
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Engineer on HV transmission line design projects from 46kV to 345kV levels.
Prepare bidding documents, draft plans and specifications, and material procurement documents.
Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting and construction management personnel.
Collaborate with Leidos team and support successful project delivery.
