Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on HV overhead and underground transmission systems from 46kV to 345 kV. You will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI standards, develop scopes, bids, plans, and construction documents, and interface with clients and project teams.

The role is 100% remote based in Michigan's Lower Peninsula with regular site visits; travel to client sites in the territory may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least four years’ experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE standards and procurement processes.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
• Ability to work in a team and with clients; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other standards to overhead systems and associated projects.
• Prepare bidding documents, drafts plans and specifications, and construction documents.
• Interact with clients and project teams; coordinate with environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
