Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced transmission line engineer in Maryland to design lines from 69kV to 500kV and supervise a small project team. You will analyze costs, develop criteria, and liaise with clients and vendors while mentoring junior staff.

The role supports a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days, and a generous relocation package is available based on location.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD to review transmission line models.
• 7+ years on a transmission project team with design, cost estimates, scheduling and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines from 69kV to 500kV.
• Lead cost analyses and development of design criteria.
• Oversee conductor selection, routing, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with vendors and clients for components.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with project teams.
