Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced transmission line engineer to design 69kV–500kV lines, develop cost estimates, and guide a small project team. The role involves reviewing ROW and construction docs, coordinating with vendors, and mentoring junior staff.
The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days, and a relocation package where applicable.
Qualifications
- Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD to review transmission line models.
- 7+ years leading or participating in transmission line projects with design, cost estimates, schedules, and procurement specs.
Responsibilities
- Design transmission lines from 69kV to 500kV and develop cost estimates.
- Review ROW requirements, sag/tension, plans, and construction documents.
- Lead a small project team and mentor junior staff.
- Coordinate with vendors/clients on transmission line components.
- Develop proposals and participate in client meetings; occasional travel.
