Qualifikationen

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD software to review transmission line models.
• 7+ years on transmission line design projects including cost estimates and schedules.
• Knowledge of right of way requirements and construction documents.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards (NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318).
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 500kV range.
• Responsible for cost analyses, development of design criteria, routing and siting of transmission lines.
• Conductor selection studies, shielding, grounding and induction studies.
• Work with vendors and clients to specify transmission line components.
• Direct a small project team.
• Mentor less experienced staff and collaborate with client project teams.
• Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings; develop proposals and cost estimates for new work.
