Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead high‑voltage overhead projects within the Power Delivery Team. The role emphasizes technical leadership, design delivery, and client interaction across the Northeast, including options for remote work.

You will guide planning, design, and construction support, with emphasis on PLS‑CADD, QA/QC, and staff mentorship, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in electrical transmission design and related disciplines.
• PE license required; multi-state preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NESC, RUS, GO-95, and transmission line fundamentals.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and transmission line design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering for transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Prepare project schedules and lead meetings with teams.
• Coordinate with clients and manage project communications.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and safety standards.
• Mentor staff and support staff development.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
