Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team, providing technical leadership for high‑voltage overhead projects up to 765 kV with flexible remote or Southeast office options.

You will lead engineering efforts, manage schedules, coordinate with clients, and mentor staff while applying QA/QC standards and industry best practices. A PE license and 7–10 years in transmission are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and PE licensure.
  • 7–10 years of experience in transmission design/management and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of NESC, RUS, and GO-95.
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD and transmission line fundamentals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English; MS Office experience.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute engineering of transmission projects up to 765 kV.
  • Create and maintain project schedules; lead meetings and coordinate with clients.
  • Provide project leadership across multi-disciplinary teams and QA/QC adherence.
  • Support PM with scope, schedule, and budget; develop client relationships.
  • Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.
