Job summary

ComEd in Illinois seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee large transmission, substation, distribution, and IT initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

A PMP or equivalent certification is required, along with a track record of delivering complex programs. You will mentor staff, engage executives, and coordinate with customers; extended hours may be needed during storms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 7–10 years PM experience, or 9–12 years if no degree.
• PMP certification or plan to achieve within two years of entry
• Experience leading large, complex projects with planning, scheduling, and cost controls
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects from scope through closeout, on time and within budget
• Interface with external customers for transmission and substation work
• Collaborate with managers to optimize resource utilization
• Present project status to sponsors and executives
• Acquire/manage contract resources and approve changes
