Exelon is seeking a seasoned Project Manager in Illinois to lead complex transmission, substation, distribution, gas and IT projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and safety, directing cross‑functional teams and coordinating with sponsors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Candidates should have PMP or equivalent, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, and a track record of multi‑million dollar programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 7–10 years PM experience, or 9–12 years without a degree.
• PMP certification or plan to achieve within two years of entry.

Responsibilities

• Directly accountable to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Interface with external customers and negotiate schedules for transmission/substation projects.
• Collaborate with other PMs, work management and functional managers to optimize resources.
• Communicate with the project sponsor and stakeholders, including executive presentations.
• Acquire and manage contract resources, approve change orders and monitor contractor performance.
• Lead and coach team members; mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Acquire zoning variations and permits for large projects and present to boards.
• Perform backup role for Manager Project Management.
