Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Transmission Engineer to supervise a skilled team responsible for developing engineering designs, cost estimates, and communicating technical information to clients.

The role requires overseeing staff performance and ensuring compliance with safety codes and standards. You will collaborate with other departments on company-wide initiatives and work closely with clients to deliver high-quality designs for transmission projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical.
• Active PE licensure.
• 10+ years in power transmission design.
• Ability to supervise engineers and technicians while ensuring quality.
• Knowledge of NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD, MFAD, and AutoCAD.
• MS Office suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technical staff in utility engineering designs and cost estimates.
• Manage project schedules and assignments.
• Mentor staff and enforce safety codes and company policies.
• Ensure adherence to client procedures and standards.
• Coordinate design reviews with internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with department managers on policies and procedures.
• Perform the duties of the Transmission Engineering Manager when needed.
• Maintain relationships with clients and pursue new opportunities.
