Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Transmission Engineer to supervise a team of designers and engineers delivering reliable transmission design solutions for a diverse client base.

The role requires guiding project execution, maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with NESC/IEEE/ASCE and safety codes, and collaborating with substations, renewable energy, and power storage teams to advance the grid infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer licensure.
• 10+ years of experience in Power Transmission design.
• Proven supervisory experience managing engineers and technicians.
• Strong knowledge of overhead/underground transmission facilities and codes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in development of transmission designs, cost estimates, and customer communications.
• Manage project schedules and assign work to engineers and technicians.
• Mentor staff on technical principles and compliance with electrical and safety codes.
• Coordinate design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement new policies reflecting best engineering practices.
