Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Transmission Engineer to join our team in Boston. The role focuses on supervising engineers and designers, developing engineering designs and cost estimates, and communicating technical information to clients and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and 10+ years in power transmission design. Proficiency in PLS-CADD, MFAD, AutoCAD, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Active PE licensure.
• Minimum 10+ years in Power Transmission Design.
• Ability to supervise a team while maintaining quality of work.
• Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technical staff in preparation of utility engineering designs and cost estimates.
• Manage schedules and assign projects to staff.
• Mentor staff and enforce technical and safety standards.
• Direct internal/external communications with stakeholders.
• Coordinate design reviews before submissions.
• Develop and implement policies reflecting best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with other departments on firm-wide initiatives.
