Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Bellevue, WA seeks a WA Transit Construction Program Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity and to advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects.

Plan, direct, and monitor program execution across disciplines, ensuring QA/QC and contract compliance. Candidates should hold a PE license or PMP/PgMP, a master's degree in a related field, and at least six years of program management with two or more programs

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Experience leading the consultant or owner program management team of at least one transportation/infrastructure program with a capital value of $500 million.
• Previous bridge construction experience.
• Knowledgeable of alternative delivery models such as P3, DBFOM, EPC.
• Willingness to travel regularly and commute to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assume leadership responsibilities for multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity and non-technical intricacies.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community facets of infrastructure programs; apply lessons learned and industry best practices.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of program execution across disciplines including planning/design management, procurement, scheduling, cost control, environmental planning, and governance.
• Identify issues and risks; provide strategic advice, deploy resources, and support timely decision-making and problem-solving.
• Develop and implement program management and startup plans, work plans, and business processes to drive efficiency and transparency.
• Oversee HDR and subconsultant teams; ensure contract compliance and QA/QC to meet client expectations.
• Monitor program financial performance against metrics and help meet earnings targets while controlling losses.
• Contribute to growth by maintaining advisory relationships, pursuing opportunities, mentoring staff, and supporting practice initiatives.
