Job summary

OpenProject GmbH is seeking an experienced Consultant Training & Adoption to lead and professionalise our training and consulting programme for large corporate and public sector clients across Europe. You will drive end-to-end engagement from first PoC to organisation-wide adoption, and engage with users from new trainees to senior executives.

You will deliver trainings remotely and in person, on-site at client premises and in our office, helping clients derive maximum value from OpenProject.

Qualifications

• Experience in consulting and training for corporate or public sector clients.
• Fluent in German (native) and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Professional presence and excellent people skills.
• Talent for teaching with practical, memorable trainings.
• Solid understanding of project management methods (classic, agile, hybrid).
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
• Structured, hands-on mindset and process improvement focus.
• Experience with Jira Data Center; OpenProject experience a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly, mainly within Europe (DACH).
• Passion for Open Source and digital sovereignty.

Responsibilities

• Lead and professionalise our training and consulting programme – from Getting started and System admin trainings to custom train-the-trainer formats, certifications and consulting engagements.
• Deliver engaging trainings, workshops and consulting sessions remotely and in person, on-site at client premises and in our office.
• Guide and support Proof of Concepts for major corporations and public sector organisations in Europe and beyond, with a focus on the DACH region.
• Position OpenProject credibly as an alternative to Jira, advising senior executives on rollout and change management.
• Onboard new clients and help existing clients get the most out of OpenProject.
• Keep training material up to date and continuously improve training concepts to meet evolving requirements.
• Streamline training concepts and workflows to scale quality as demand grows.
• Be the voice of the customer to Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing teams.
• Collaborate with Account Management, Customer Support, migration and consulting teams, and partners.
• Bring in your own approaches, insights, and lessons learned from previous roles.
