Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Project Manager for its Northeast Division to lead traffic/transportation engineering projects, oversee staff, and manage budgets and client relations. The role emphasizes mentoring, technical guidance in traffic modeling (Synchro, Vissim), and design for Complete Streets initiatives.

The candidate will collaborate with municipalities and regional agencies, contribute to proposals, and help grow project opportunities across a national multi-location firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering required.
• 8+ years in traffic/transportation engineering with modeling, studies, design and project management.
• Knowledge of traffic study and design standards, MassDOT submission processes.
• Expertise in traffic modeling (Synchro) and traffic signal design.
• Professional Engineering License in Massachusetts or ability to obtain reciprocity within one year.
• PTOE certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the preparation of studies, design and construction bid documents for traffic-related transportation projects.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring on traffic analysis models and signal design.
• Maintain oversight of project financials, budgets, schedules, and progress.
