Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Traffic Project Manager in Houston to lead complex traffic engineering and transportation operations projects. You will oversee the full lifecycle, including planning, traffic studies, ITS, MOT, PS&E, and coordination with clients and agencies.

You will mentor teams, drive business development, and ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery while maintaining client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15+ years in transportation engineering; 5+ years in project management.
• Experience managing scopes, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
• History of winning or contributing to DOT/municipal work.

Responsibilities

• Lead scopes, schedules, and fee estimates with profitability targets.
• Provide technical direction for traffic engineering projects across phases.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants to deliver PS&E packages on time.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain clear communication.
• Drive business development: pursuits, proposals, and client interviews.
• Identify growth opportunities and strengthen client partnerships.
• Oversee project financial performance, budgets, forecast, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with TxDOT/MUTCD/AASHTO/FHWA standards.
• Mentor staff and develop junior engineers in traffic engineering practices.
