Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to lead traffic/transportation projects in the Providence, RI area. You will supervise study preparation, models, design work, and bid documents while guiding budgets, schedules, and client communications.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in traffic engineering, a PE license (MA or reciprocity), and PTOE is a plus. You will mentor staff and build client relationships across projects, with opportunities for bonuses and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering including models, studies, design and project management.
• Professional Engineering License in Massachusetts, or reciprocity within one year.
• PTOE certification is a plus.
• Expertise in traffic modeling (Synchro) and traffic signal design.
• Knowledge of standards and submission processes for state agencies including MassDOT.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct preparation of studies, design and bid documents for traffic/transport projects.
• Provide technical direction on traffic analysis models, signaling, design and plans.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and progress; present to clients and the public.
• Manage/mentor staff, allocate workloads, resolve issues; develop proposals and scopes.
