Job summary

Consor in Houston seeks a Senior Traffic Project Manager to lead complex traffic engineering and transportation operations projects from planning through PS&E and construction support.

You will mentor teams, manage client relationships, and drive business development while ensuring compliance with TxDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, and FHWA standards to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15+ years transportation engineering experience and 5+ years project management experience.
• Experience managing scopes, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams on large-scale roadway projects.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Established client relationships with DOT, municipal, or regional agencies.
• Business development experience with proposals, pursuits, and client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project scopes, schedules, and fee estimates.
• Provide oversight for complex traffic engineering across all project phases.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, planners, designers, and subconsultants.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain clear communication.
• Drive business development including proposals and interviews.
• Oversee project financial performance and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with TxDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, FHWA and local criteria.
• Mentor junior staff in traffic engineering and ITS technologies.
