Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Traffic Engineering to join its collaborative team in Houston. This role will lead traffic and parking studies, transportation planning, and road/traffic signal design for private developers, corporations, and institutions.

You will manage complex projects, coordinate with clients and staff, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior engineers on a range of traffic/transportation assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of Traffic Engineering/Transportation Planning experience.
• Familiarity with state permitting and DOT guidelines.
• Effective public speaking skills; public testimony desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and budgets.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform planning and permitting of traffic/transportation projects.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines; prepare invoices and change orders.
• Assess project feasibility from data analysis and prepare/design reports and plans.
• Organize and edit proposals, reports, and documents.
• Develop new business, attend meetings with clients, and pursue new work.
• Oversee junior staff and provide coaching and supervision on projects.
