Job summary

Consor Engineers in Texas is seeking an experienced ITS Lead to provide technical leadership, delivery oversight, and strategic growth for our Texas Transportation team. You will guide the planning, design, and implementation of ITS solutions to improve safety, mobility, and reliability across transportation networks.

As the ITS expert, you will mentor staff, coordinate with TxDOT and regional agencies, develop system architectures and reports, and contribute to business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Transportation, or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of ITS, traffic engineering, transportation technology, or related projects.
• Texas PE license or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
• Experience leading ITS planning, design, and implementation for TxDOT, municipalities, toll authorities, or regional agencies.
• Knowledge of TxDOT ITS standards, NTCIP, FHWA guidance, MUTCD, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, analysis, design, and delivery of ITS projects for state, municipal, and regional clients in Texas.
• Serve as ITS technical lead, coordinating with roadway, traffic, electrical, and other design teams.
• Develop ITS system architectures, concepts of operations, specifications, plans, estimates, and technical reports.
• Lead ITS infrastructure design and integration, including fiber, communications, CCTV, DMS, VDS, connected vehicle tech.
• Provide technical quality control and manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communications.
