Job summary
Consor in Houston is seeking an Engineering Designer to lead portions of complex transportation design projects, including roadway, multimodal, and intersection design, applying engineering judgment and mentoring junior designers. You’ll collaborate with project engineers and managers to ensure accurate, constructible design solutions.
You will coordinate design activities across disciplines, perform advanced calculations, and support quality control reviews and schedule tracking to meet client
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
- 2+ years of Texas transportation engineering design experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with MicroStation & OpenRoads Designer.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Perform advanced design calculations and ensure compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate design activities among multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Assist project engineers and managers with quality control reviews, schedule tracking, and design deliverables.
