Job summary

STV invites a Senior Traffic Engineering Design Manager to lead and expand our Texas traffic engineering design practice in Houston. You will drive planning, design, and PS&E for major transportation projects, acting as a Design Manager, Project Manager, or Technical Lead.

You will cultivate relationships with TxDOT districts, municipalities, and transit agencies while mentoring staff, shaping proposals, and guiding business development and interviews to grow the regional practice.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive traffic engineering experience.
• Texas PE license required.
• Strong background in ITS, signal design, illumination, and PS&E development.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic engineering, ITS, signal, and illumination projects from planning through PS&E.
• Serve as Design Manager or Technical Lead on major transportation assignments.
• Build relationships with TxDOT districts, municipalities, and transit agencies.
• Support growth through proposals, interviews, and pursuit strategies.
• Mentor staff and grow the local traffic engineering practice.
