Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze tooling for Blue Engines, Lunar, and New Glenn programs. You will apply CAD/FEM methods and ASME Y14.5 standards to craft fixtures, chucks, and test equipment supporting manufacture and test in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years designing, building, and commissioning tooling or fixtures for manufacturing and test.
• Experience with FEM and structural analysis plus hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design production, development, test, integration, and advanced tooling for aerospace programs.
• Interpret design standards (ASME Y14.5) and develop drawings.
• Lead projects from vendor selection through installation and commissioning.
• Collaborate across design, manufacturing, and integration teams to hit safety, cost, and schedule targets.
