Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to design production tooling and fixtures for engines, lunar, and new Glenn programs at Cape Canaveral, FL. You will apply CAD and analysis to deliver cradle-to-grave tooling solutions in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, familiarity with Creo Pro/E, ASME Y14.5, and fundamentals of FEA; internship or hands-on leadership is a plus as you collaborate across teams and manage

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field.
• Degree earned within the last year and able to start Fall 2026.

Responsibilities

• Design production, development, test, integration, and advanced manufacturing tooling for Blue Engines, Lunar, and New Glenn units.
• Integrate concepts of mechanical design and analysis across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Interpret and apply design standards (ASME Y14.5) when creating drawings.
• Handle variety of fixtures, material handlers, rotisseries, test fixtures, weldments, environmental chambers, and custom machines.
• Collaborate with component designers, manufacturing engineers, and integration engineering to optimize safety, cost, quality, cycle time, delivery, reliability, and maintenance.
• Manage projects including vendor selection, fabrication, inspection, equipment installation, proof testing, and commissioning of custom tooling.
• Set and maintain schedules and budgets to ensure completion.
