Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking early-career engineers to design and integrate tooling and fixtures for the Blue Engines, Lunar, and New Glenn programs. You will work in a fast-paced environment, applying mechanical design principles and ASME Y14.5 standards to create robust drawings and assemblies.

Positions are available across Seattle, Huntsville and Cape Canaveral; travel and relocation may be required. A BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering is expected, with recent graduates considered for

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field, within last year, able to start Fall 2026.
• Fundamentals: design requirements, material selection, form factors, interfaces, and environmental considerations.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo Pro/E) and drawing creation; basic strength/mechanics of materials; basic FEA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design production, development, test, integration and tooling for Blue Engines, Lunar and New Glenn units.
• Interpret and apply drafting standards (ASME Y14.5) for drawings and assemblies.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and integration teams to optimize cradle-to-grave metrics.
• Manage projects: vendor selection, fabrication, inspection, installation, proof testing and commissioning.

BS Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
