GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling for the systems engineering team. You will lead thermal modeling, analyze test data, and build system models to meet customer requirements, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degrees (MS/PhD) considered to satisfy experience portion.
• Deep expertise in thermal fluid sciences and modeling.
• Experience with aircraft systems and environmental control systems.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810/DO-160 environmental methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist System Engineer in developing system architecture and technical approach.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Lead modeling and analysis as technical lead; coordinate with engineering groups.
• Ensure successful execution of modeling, analysis, and testing development.
• Manage technical requirements traceability and decomposition for thermal subjects.
• Decompose high-level requirements into lower-level specs for components.
• Research investments to improve discipline health and products.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers during design development.
• Review and approve documents for transition from prototype to production.
• Provide engineering support to troubleshoot non-performing products.
