Job summary

GE Aerospace, Intergalactic division, seeks an Advanced Staff Thermal Systems Engineer to lead system-level architectures and execution. You will own the technical development program and serve as primary contact for clients, guiding a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians.

Role requires deep thermal management knowledge, MBSE, environmental control systems, and strong leadership to advance aerospace solutions while mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 15+ years in Systems Engineering preferred.
• Experience with thermal management and aerospace disciplines, MBSE and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own program architecture and technical approach for thermal systems.
• Serve as technical lead; align objectives and coordinate activities across internal and external resources.
• Identify and manage technical risks; ensure successful program execution with PM.
• Manage technical requirements traceability, derivation, verification and validation.
• Decompose high-level requirements to internal teams and suppliers as needed.
• Lead in technical strategy and growth of the engineering team.
• Research investments or changes to improve products and services.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers during design and development.
• Review and approve prototype-to-production documentation.
• Provide engineering support to troubleshoot non-performing products.
