Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to drive analytical modeling and trade studies within the systems engineering team. You will lead and execute thermal modeling, assess performance requirements, analyze test data, and maintain system models and libraries.

The role involves coordination with mechanical design, reliability, controls, electronics, and software teams, with remote or on-site options in St. George, Utah. A strong background in thermal-fluid systems is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced degrees (MS/PhD) will satisfy part of experience.
  • Expertise in requirements management, verification/validation, and system design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing the program’s system architecture and technical approach.
  • Identify and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
  • Lead modeling/analysis and coordinate activities across engineering groups.
  • Ensure successful execution of modeling, analysis, and testing development for programs.
  • Maintain and decompose requirements for internal components and suppliers.
  • Research and recommend technology investments to improve product discipline health.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers during design development.
  • Review documentation for prototype to production transition.
