Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling for systems engineering, leading thermal trade studies and architecture development to meet customer requirements. You will manage thermal and performance requirements, correlate test data, and maintain system models across multidisciplinary teams.

The role can be remote or on-site in St. George, Utah, with a base pay range of $112,000–$130,000 USD and eligibility for an annual bonus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience; advanced degrees may satisfy part of experience.
Deep expertise in thermal-fluid sciences and systems analysis.
Experience with modeling, verification, validation, and test data correlation.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing system architecture and technical approach, incl. thermal and controls analysis.
Identify and manage thermal performance risks for the program.
Lead modeling and analysis activities, coordinate with engineering groups.
Collaborate with Systems Engineer and Program Manager to execute modeling and testing development.
Manage requirements traceability and decomposition for thermal and performance requirements.
Decompose high-level requirements to internal teams and suppliers as needed.
Research new technologies and tools to improve discipline health and product offerings.
Communicate with customers and suppliers during design development.
